ABOUT THE FORUM

Asia is widely recognised as the main driver of global economic growth in the next few decades, offering enormous potential for the insurance sector. How to tap into this wave of new business opportunities and derive optimal benefits for society is a pertinent and pressing topic.

On 11 December 2018, the Insurance Authority hosted the inaugural Asian Insurance Forum (AIF) which provided a high-level platform for international and local financial regulators, industry leaders, academics and professionals to exchange views on the direction and strategies for the future development of the insurance industry, with a special focus on the Belt and Road Initiative and the Greater Bay Area Development.
