Mr Choy is the Senior Director and head of the Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong (SFC)’s Intermediaries Supervision Department. In this capacity, Mr Choy manages over 170 staff and has prime responsibility for the supervision of market intermediaries in the securities and futures sector.

The SFC supervises over 2,600 financial intermediaries in Hong Kong including investment banks, securities dealers, futures brokers, financial planners and fund managers. Mr Choy oversees key supervision activities such as carrying out on-site inspections of firms for the purpose of identifying and managing risky firms and detecting misconduct. He has also been actively involved in the formulation and implementation of policies and regulations for the securities and futures industry.
