Asia is widely expected to be the main driver of global economic growth in the next few decades, offering enormous potential for the insurance sector. How to tap into this wave of new business opportunities and derive optimal benefits for society are pertinent and pressing topics.

On 10 December 2019, the Insurance Authority (IA) hosted the 2nd Asian Insurance Forum (AIF), brought together around 500 local and overseas delegates, including financial regulators, industry leaders and academics, to exchange views, with a special focus on the Belt and Road Initiative and the Greater Bay Area development, as well as FinTech developments in the insurance market.
